Origins of Ahti
Born in Sebastopol, California in 2017, Ahti took root in the rich soils of Northern California’s wine and weed country. What started as a small passion project quickly grew into a respected name in solventless ice water extraction — a craft defined by purity, patience, and obsession with quality.
Founded by lifelong Sonoma County locals Thomas and Zac, Ahti evolved beyond extraction to cultivate the organic cannabis that powers its award-winning hash. Their dedication earned early recognition — First Place in Solventless at the 2017 Emerald Cup and First Place at the 2018 High Times Cup — and continued through collaborations with Purple City Genetics under the El Krem banner, securing 2nd Place at The Emerald Cup in 2022 for Papaya Bomb Ice Water Hash and again in 2023 for Moroccan Peaches Live Rosin.
The name Ahti draws from the Sanskrit word ati, meaning “to go beyond,” and the Finnish god of the sea — a nod to depth, movement, and respect for nature. That spirit runs through everything they make. From living soil to solventless oil, Ahti’s craft captures the plant in its purest form — flavorful, terpene-rich, and true to its origin.
